Our Property — A Virtual Tour
Phu Quoc Homestay is a purpose-built guesthouse set in a quiet residential area of Duong Dong, Phu Quoc's main town. The property is surrounded by a lush tropical garden with coconut palms, bougainvillea, frangipani trees, and carefully maintained flower beds. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing — a world away from the noise and traffic of tourist strip hotels, yet just a five-minute walk from Long Beach and the Night Market.
The main building houses our guest rooms on two levels, with covered walkways connecting to the pool area, kitchen, and garden terrace. The architecture combines Vietnamese tropical design with modern comforts — think tiled floors, whitewashed walls, wooden accents, and large windows that let in natural light and garden views. Every room opens either to a private balcony (upper floor) or directly to the garden (ground floor).
The Rooms
Each of our Private Rooms is individually furnished with a queen-size bed, premium cotton linens, a wardrobe, bedside tables with reading lamps, and a small writing desk. The en-suite bathroom features a rain shower with hot water, clean towels replaced every two to three days, and wall-mounted soap and shampoo dispensers. The split-type air conditioning unit is modern and whisper-quiet — you will sleep comfortably even during the hottest months.
The Family Rooms are larger, with a double bed and single bed configuration, garden-facing windows, and extra floor space for luggage and children's play area. Ground-floor access makes it easy for families with strollers or young children.
Our Long-Term Rental rooms feature a kitchenette with mini-fridge, electric stove, and cooking essentials, plus a full-size work desk with an ergonomic chair — designed for guests who stay a month or longer. The workspace is positioned near the window for natural light, with multiple power outlets for laptops, monitors, and phone chargers.
Pool and Garden
The outdoor swimming pool is the social heart of the homestay. Measuring eight by four meters, it is surrounded by tropical plants, palm trees, and comfortable sun loungers with shade parasols. The pool is cleaned and treated daily, open from 7 AM to 9 PM. Whether you want to cool off after a day exploring the island, do morning laps, or simply float with a drink, the pool is your private tropical oasis — shared only with a handful of fellow guests, not hundreds of hotel residents.
The garden terrace extends from the pool area into a shaded sitting zone with hammocks, wicker chairs, and a long wooden table perfect for communal meals. The BBQ grill is available for guests — many buy fresh prawns, squid, or fish from the Night Market just minutes away and cook their own seafood feast. String lights illuminate the garden in the evening, creating a magical atmosphere for relaxation and conversation.
The Neighborhood
Step outside the homestay and you are in the real Duong Dong — not a sanitized tourist zone but a living, breathing Vietnamese town. The streets around us are lined with local shops, fruit vendors, repair workshops, and small cafes where residents start their day with strong Vietnamese coffee and a bowl of pho.
Walking five minutes south brings you to Long Beach (Bai Truong), one of the most iconic beaches in Vietnam. The northern end of Long Beach near Duong Dong is less crowded than the resort-heavy south, with beach bars serving cocktails at sunset and local seafood restaurants where you can dine with your feet in the sand.
Five minutes in the other direction takes you to the Phu Quoc Night Market — the island's most vibrant evening attraction. Hundreds of stalls sell grilled seafood (squid, scallops, prawns, sea urchin, lobster), tropical fruits, fresh juices, Vietnamese street food, pearl jewelry, coconut crafts, and souvenirs. It is noisy, colorful, fragrant, and absolutely essential.
Nearby Beaches and Nature
From our homestay, every major beach on Phu Quoc is reachable within 40 minutes by motorbike. Long Beach is a five-minute walk. Ong Lang Beach, with its rocky coves and secluded feel, is 15 minutes by scooter. Sao Beach (Bai Sao) — regularly ranked among Asia's most beautiful — is 30 minutes south with its iconic white powder sand and turquoise water. Starfish Beach in the far north is 40 minutes but worth every minute of the ride for the unique experience of seeing live starfish in shallow, crystal-clear water.
Beyond beaches, the island offers remarkable natural diversity. Phu Quoc National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, covers 70 percent of the island with primary tropical forest, trekking trails, and waterfalls. Suoi Tranh waterfall, about 20 minutes from our homestay, is a popular half-day excursion with natural pools for swimming.

What Real Guests Say About Our Property
Photos tell part of the story, but nothing beats the honest descriptions from guests who have actually stayed with us. Here is what our visitors consistently highlight about the property: the rooms are clean and match the photos exactly — no misleading angles or outdated pictures. The pool is well maintained and just the right size for relaxation without feeling crowded. The garden provides a genuine tropical atmosphere with real plants, not artificial decorations. And the location puts you right in the action while remaining quiet enough for a good night's sleep.
Many guests are pleasantly surprised by the quality of the WiFi — in their experience, budget accommodations on tropical islands usually have slow or unreliable internet. Our 50+ Mbps fiber connection is consistently fast, as confirmed by multiple guests who work remotely during their stay. The kitchen is another frequent highlight — having the ability to cook your own meals using fresh ingredients from the local market is both a money-saver and a cultural experience that hotel guests miss out on.
We encourage all our guests to take and share their own photos during their stay. If you would like to see live video of the property, available rooms, or specific facilities before booking, simply send us a WhatsApp message and we will arrange a video call or send you current photos and videos. We believe in complete transparency — what you see is what you get.
Read detailed reviews from past guests on our reviews page. When you are ready to book, visit our rooms page for detailed descriptions and pricing information by season.
